This content mistake kept me in 200 views jail

Hey there,

I used to post TikToks that got 223 views.

For months.

My first videos for Puff Count were straight trash. App demos, feature walkthroughs, screenshots with text overlays.

I was literally shouting into the void.

Then I realized something that changed everything: Nobody opens TikTok to watch ads.

Understanding the difference between features and transformation got me out of 200 views jail.

Features: "Our app tracks your vaping habits with detailed analytics."

Transformation: "Crazy that people smoke these without knowing what's inside" (then I tore apart a vape on camera)

One feels like an ad. The other got 2.6 million views.

Here's what clicked for me:

Your video's only job is getting them curious enough to tap your profile and click the link.

Stop trying to sell your app in 15 seconds. Start telling stories that hook them instead.

Puff Count wasn't viral because of "count your puffs." It was viral because of "quit vaping."

Sell your user transformation.

Peace,
Steven
