This Google search predicted my $44k/month app

Hey there,

Back in 2019, I had zero coding skills but I noticed vaping was everywhere.

My friends vaped, I did, and new vape shops were on every corner.

But I also saw something else: people wanted to quit.

Most founders would start coding.

I searched "quit vaping" on Google Trends instead. The trend was up and to the right indicating real growing demand.

Then I checked TikTok. "Quit vaping" videos hitting millions of views.

This 5-minute validation gave me the confidence to build.

Later, I recreated one of those viral videos and hit 2.6M views + 4,000 downloads overnight.

Puff Count scaled to $44k/month before I sold it.

Here's what I did differently:

I validated the demand before writing code.

Right now, some founders are 6 months deep into building their "perfect app" with zero proof anyone wants it.

Meanwhile, 5 minutes of research could've saved them from a disaster.

Same validation process I used for Posted ($90k/mo) and the exact framework my students follow to hit $10k+ MRR.

Peace,
Steven
